HISTORY
MCRE was founded in 1991 by Ken Murchison as a real estate investment, management, and advisory firm. The company emerged as the successor to Murchison Interests, Inc., originally established to oversee family-owned real estate holdings.​

In its early years, MCRE provided advisory and property management services to a range of institutional and private clients, including Austin Industries, the William T. Solomon and Charles Solomon families, S.L.J. Company, the FDIC, and several regional banks.

By the mid-1990s, MCRE expanded into originating its own real estate investment programs. Since then, the firm has successfully operated and exited a variety of residential, retail, and land investments—always in partnership with trusted, long-term equity and debt relationships.
